pungalina gorge on the calvert river

Option A - An outback wilderness station

Fly from Melbourne to Pungalina cattle station, located on the Calvert River on the Queensland/Northern Territory border just south of the gulf. This is an 8 hour flight and normally spans 1 & 1/2 days to get there. Pungalina is a remote wilderness 500,000 acre station. It has a camp for a maximum of 8 people , permanent tents right next to a flowing spring. This wilderness experience includes fishing, canoeing, walking, bird watching and swimming. There are many great swimming holes to visit, plentiful barramundi and wild life and some amazing limestone caves to explore.
